The new skatepark that had open up few months ago next to J.D. Smith Middle School brought the Las Vegas skateboard community lots of joy! We all were so hyped to have a new skatepark open since craig ranch opened 5+ years ago. Not only it was a new skatepark it is one of the best skateparks in Las Vegas and many can agree. The set up of the park is so fun and creative. We are all bummed to hear that they shut it down due to graffiti. In my observation i did not see any graffiti anywhere on the park besides the actual design that came with one of the ramps. The skate community is very upset with the action of shutting the park down only after a month of it being open, It felt like the city had teased us. Others and I would love for it to open back up as soon as possible. Us skaters look out for vandalism to our skatepark, we take it as our home and will defend our home. Please open back up the skatepark and have the lights on til 11pm!
