Caroline Bacon started this petition to Karen Salmon and

As of early 2021, Suhaila (Sue) Wible moved with her sibling into a new home. Both were able to stay at their current high school, Liberty, for the duration of her junior year. Sue’s sibling was luckily able to graduate at Liberty. Since Sue now lives in Howard County, she has been informed that she no longer is in the CCPS system for the upcoming year. By a vote of 5-0, the CCPS Board upheld the superintendent’s decision. Sue is now preparing to appeal to the Maryland Board of Education. As class president and an involved student, Sue has impacted the lives of many students. Logically, yes, an out of county student should not be allowed to attend another county’s school. There are complications with taxes, districting, etc. However, from a moral standpoint, it’s her senior year. She will be deprived of her final year with her best friends and teachers who have made her time here so meaningful. Your voice can help. Thank you!
