For Congress to reaccess the current Unemployment Practices & Policies in the state of MD
Why this petition matters

Like the Secretary of Labor, Marty Walsh was able to accomplish in his previous position as Mayor of the City of Boston; communities in Maryland would like to experience the creation of more jobs, a statewide $15-an-hour minimum wage, paid sick leave, and paid parental leave, better quality education for all children, better healthcare and free community college for low-income students. According to the website link worldpopulationreview.com: Maryland's median income is the second-highest in the U.S. at $86,738. Maryland also has very high education attainment, with 40.2% of adults having a Bachelor's degree or higher. Maryland also has one of the lowest poverty rates in the U.S. at 9%. So why is the minimum wage so low in Maryland, and people are struggling with the unemployment office with their claims? There is something terribly wrong with the unemployment claims system and you can tell by reading the google reviews written about the Maryland Department of Labor, Division of Unemployment Insurance.
