Does anyone feel like they have not been supported as the university claims they do and posts on the website to get people to enroll? Studies show students, especially minority students took a huge hit when schools closed. This is an intersectional issue and affects everyone in different ways. Does anyone feel disregarded during the COVID-19 Fall 20-21 semester? Who fears for the Spring 21 semester and their grades because we are moving to all online with no reasonable modifications? Let’s help each other. This semester has been a challenge and we should help students while still holding them to standards! All courses should be offered as pass or no pass for at least Fall 20-21. At bare minimum, school should then extend the date to CHANGE your courses to P/F in the near future and also change them to grades. Next semester, there needs to be a Covid academic intervention plan in place for students. This is not to say to compromise our education, but to provide reasonable and attainable modifications that will allow students to operate in a way that reflects their true abilities under foreseen and normal circumstances. This model and plan should provide support and attainablility for students.
