When have you ever heard a boy say “omg her shoulder is out i’m gonna fail this quiz” never! it seems it’s more to not distract the male teachers than the teen boys. teenage boys at our school are offended that the school board thinks they’d be distracted by shoulders and knees. dress code is directed towards girls. the first day of school my sophmore year my teacher said ladies before every dress code rule she said. i had a teacher tell me to be careful because a male teacher may dress code me. The dress code is not updated. You should care more about covid and educating than what people are wearing. you want us to express ourself but refuse to let us show shoulders, mid-drift, knees/thighs etc. it’s specializing teen girls. it’s not what we’re wearing it’s the people looking. if the male teenagers or teachers can’t stay focused bc of my shoulders showing they don’t need to be a teacher or they need to be raised better. I hope you hear us out and how much school shopping nowadays is stressful trying to find clothes that match this dress code. Thank you for all who signed this petition!!
