Language proficiency: other types of Evidence.

Language proficiency: other types of Evidence.
- We are bringing up this petition, if possible to make any change, for an ongoing issue that Nurses face when they transfer their RN license from other Canadian provinces to Saskatchewan. As an Immigrant to Canada, I live in Saskatchewan for the past 9 years and I am happy to be here. l have known that many nurses are struggling to get their License transferred here because of English Language requirement, even though they have license in other Canadian province.
"Together we are strong", Saskatchewan health authority is strong enough to provide better care for all residents live in here. We have strong back-up, international Nurses are not separate and they are ready to help. I think, you would agree with me that language is important and inevitable for an active conversation but as long as we can communicate and understand each other, then we can help each other. In fact, besides IELTS, if SRNA would consider different options to demonstrate language proficiency such as through work experience by accepting employer reference and computing additional education obtained in Canada would open up a new window to meet language requirement. So, with this pandemic, we are facing a tragic plight of increasing Covid19 caseload day by day, and our nurses are working hard in the health sector to keep our community safe. I feel, they are getting exhausted and swamped everyday at work and we can help them by filling up the current job opening for RN.
I hope Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) and Ministry of health Saskatchewan will look in to this seriously and bring a positive decision to help International Nurses to transfer their license.
Thank you
Have a good day.
