I teach ESL to adults in Brooklyn, NY. Life is hard enough here without being isolated by not being able to connect in language.

More than ever, language access is critical. We must have improved language education and access at every level of American society to keep all Americans healthy, safe, and treated fairly.

I'm signing because I'm a dual immersion teacher and my students need even MORE resources after COVID-19 since they've been without being immersed at home. This measure will help our students greatly.

America desperately needs to become an active member of this "new" global society of ours, and it can only do that by making world language and culture education accessible to all people. You can never achieve greatness, if you're constantly afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone.
