Chesterfield Ravenside Retail Park owned by Land Securities Group PLC began working with UKCPS ANPR a few years ago and since their partnership, Chesterfield residents have received a number of miss-issued tickets as well as being ticked whilst still on the retail park. 

People are being fined by staying over the 2-hour limit even though they are still using the stores, HobbyCraft, Asda Living, Maplins, Currys, PC World, Next, Pets at Home, Carphone Warehouse and Pizza Hut.

One example is that of a gentleman who had purchased a TV from Currys PC World and then used the pizza hut and has been fined. 

Another example is that of an individual who had been working from home due to the pandemic and decided he wanted a change of scenery so used Costa Coffee where he purchased a number of coffee's and worked in the coffee shop for over 3 hours and had then received fixed penalties. 

There seems to be a trend of the company UKCPS ANPR not sending out initial letters but sending them straight to Debt Collect agencies such as Debt Recover Plus who then hound you to pay the super increased charge, including texting, phone calls and letters. 

What we want to see is the removal of UKCPS ANPR from the beloved chesterfield shopping area. 

Labour MP Mr Perkins said: “I have had many people contact me after receiving a parking ticket at the car park at Ravenside Retail Park. The vast majority of these have been issued as a result of parking at Ravenside Retail Park but then leaving the site."

We want to take these matters into the peoples' hands, by raising not awareness but demanding the removal of these cameras and parking fines.
