on an emotional level it is cruel to take people from their families when they need them most. On a practical level, it costs the taxpayers more because recovery is delayed.

It is essential for children to be close to their parents especially if they are unwell.

Keep up the fight!!
I work in mental health and I see the stress it causes not only on the patients but the families and to only to be able to see your child once every two weeks when hey need you the most is heart-breaking. they really need to take a look at the mental health system and make changes! all the best for you and your children ! xx

I am praying your beautiful daughter gets the help and support she needs she is so young and suffering with mental health issues is hard at any age mainly as a teenager! I hope she gets to move nearer to her family so she is nearer to you all and she gets the support from her loving family too

I have been in a situation like this where I was traveling to Slough just to see a family member who was on a section 2. There should be more help in the immediate area rather then sending people to get help in places they've never been or even heard off, and if care in the immediate area isint available, then why ain't there a fund to help with families traveling costs??

Because I am a 15 year old girl myself and I would hate to be in this position myself.
