After many reports of sexual assault and harassment have been filed on campus without any attempts to rectify the issue, students on campus (men and women alike) believe that security and other means of safety should be installed on the campus. More specifically, the Center of Academic Success (CAS) has been the main avenue for sexual assault although its one of the busiest buildings on Kean University's campus. Other buildings that have a high amount of traffic such as the Miron Student Center (MSC) and The Nancy Thompson Library could also benefit from a heightened security process before entering the building. Due to Kean University being a public university, any common citizen can enter the campus and pose a threat to students that pay to attend. Hopefully with the signing of this petition, officials within Kean University will be prompted to make a change that would prevent any event that could be dangerous to Kean students.
