Lakeland University is charging students $75 a week (plus a meal plan) to stay on campus over winter break. This totals about $500 for the month. Many students do not have the funds to pay for this. This is also unfair to students that are unable to go home due to work and other commitments. This information was also just given to students, a mere three weeks before break. The short notice to students is unfair and the cost is too large for the average college student to pay.
