In-Person Classes

In-Person Classes
We want more in person classes! Zoom fatigue is real! And when you add in heavy content, as with Adult Illness Concepts 2 (NURS2056), learning becomes very difficult! Our education is our responsibility so let’s take charge! Why is it that one class can be in person but the other can not when it’s the same group of students? Lets advocate for ourselves as we are called to advocate for our patients. Let’s make our voice heard!
This decision, about whether classes will be in person or online, is one beyond our choice, beyond our professors choice, but our voices can make an impact on those whose decision it is. We know from our progressing relational practice as nurses that those in high up administrative positions, those with power, need to listen to those whose life is being impacted by the decisions. We are the ones being impacted! We, as nursing students, are the ones whose education is suffering from zoom classes. As future nurses, our practice is what is being impacted by these decisions. If we stand together we can be the voice, a voice loud enough to be heard. Let’s be the voice of all nursing students at Lakehead, and other students at Lakehead University, even other students at different universities. Our voice can create change!
