Raven Doering started this petition to Governor Andrew M. Cuomo

When COVID-19 hit, schools worldwide turned to remote learning. Because of remote learning, people now fear that snow days are going to be gone for good due to remote learning! Snow days are not only good for building snowmen, chilling at home, and staying in your pajamas all day; they're also good for your mental and physical health. Snow days force you to take a much-needed break from work and school, let you sleep in, and spend the day relaxing in your PJs with a good book or favorite movie. If snow days are taken away, students will never have those free mental health days again, and there won't be any more memories of children's happy and excited reactions to finding out there isn't any school because it's a snow day. Whether you're a preschooler or a senior in high school, snow days will always be important and beneficial to you and your mental health. So please, think about students and their mental health before you decide to cancel snow days forever. It doesn't matter who you are or what you do; all I'm asking for is for you to sign this petition and think of all the memories you had during snow days when you were very young. Please take a little of your time to sign this petition; every single signature will help!
