Why this petition matters

Started by Joe Huff

The USACOE developed  a shoreline management plan during the initial stages of the lakes development. This included the three designation for shoreline areas which included a protected shoreline area that prohibited any type of development, clearing, mowing, piers, docks and any type of vegetation removal. The intent was noble but as time has evolved more and more of the protected shoreline areas are now adjacent to property owners and housing developments.
I would like to petition the “corp” to at least re-address the areas now listed as protected shoreline. As property owner joining the lake I feel we should enjoy the same price ledges as those on other parts not designated as protected shoreline.
At the same time have a discussion with regard to the inconsistent issuance of permits through out the lake area.  Along with this petition I have contacted my Senator, the Honorable John Cornyn with my concerns  He has, after several communications, opened a congressional inquiry on my behalf and am awaiting a response.
any and all who have concerns with regard to the rights we should have as property owners, I highly recommend writing to Senator John Cornyn. He is more than willing to help. I found him to be a sincere and concerned American. He welcomes your emails.
