The Community of Caves Beach/Swansea Heads and surrounding suburbs would like to make local change in petitioning for the upgrade of playground facilities at Caves Beach Playground on Caves Beach Road (2281).  

With the expansion of Caves Beach property in recent years also brings the increase of families into a growing community. We feel that it is essential to upgrade our playground to suite the growing needs of this community demand.
According to Census 2012 (with new data coming this year) almost 20% of Caves Beach comprises of children aged 0-14 years and Swansea Heads comprises of 16.1% (with both communities similarly accounting approximately 21% being persons ages over 65 years). 

Caves Beach is a family focused community with children and grandchildren being a major part of our landscape. To reflect this, we would like the facilities at Caves Beach Park to be upgraded with new equipment for a wide range of age groups; including a fence (as this main road is extremely dangerous), shade cloth (for protection of UV in summer), a soft rubber fall surface, water feature, increased sheltered (covered) seating areas and toilet facilities.
