In accordance with paragraph 5.11 (Removal of Officers) of the Lake Forest Property Owners Association, Inc By-Laws, it is requested that the following directors be removed from office, and from the board for violating the provisions of the afore mentioned by-laws, specifically paragraph 2.4  Dues, Charges and Assessments.(30 Day notice requirement!)

1.      Mary Ann Hampton

2.      Steve Sasser

3.      Ed Kirby

4.      Mike Morgan

(While we realize that the whole board is in violation of the by-laws, it is understood that it would not be in the best interest of the association to replace all members.) Those selected represent the Finance Committee, which recommended the increase.

Enclosure 1:  2019 Budget Proposal , Posted on the website 7 November 2018 at 9:47 AM

This document states “The Lake Forest Property Owners Association Board of Directors will Schedule time for comments from members desiring to do so, at the November stated Board meeting on November 15, 2018.

At least 30 residents attended, and spoke for and against the dues increase. At the conclusion of the meeting, a resident asked when the vote would take place. The answer from the President of the Board was that the vote had already taken place.

A Letter from the Board President dated October 29, 2018 and mailed to each association member, did not include any reference to an increase in the dues or notification of such consideration had been taken by the board. This letter was signed by six members of the board, and mailed at thousands of dollars in expense, yet no mention that a dues increase had been approved.  In her comments in the Lake Forester in December, the President said the vote had taken place in October, 2018.

Clearly there was not the required time for notification to the residents (30 Days), and the Board was deceptive to the residents by letting us think our comments on the 15th mattered.

It is further requested that the dues increase be cancelled until it can be proposed properly.
