There is a serious attempt by certain parties to remove the ability of Lake Emerald Owner Association residents to record and replay official board meetings on a social media platform. The recording and replaying of official board meetings has been a welcomed means for owners, both year round residents and snow birds alike, towards providing them the ability to observe the official board meetings live and also review the meetings at their leisure. That has now changed due to an aggressive stance taken by certain persons of an official capacity who arranged to have the association attorney send a cease and desist order to every person directly involved in providing the means to view recorded board meetings. This forceful attempt by a small minority to remove what was once considered an acceptable form of communication by them and still remains widely accepted by the majority of our Lake Emerald residents cannot go unanswered!

Sign this petition so that it can then be turned over to the present board, property management, and (most importantly) our association attorney to inform all of them that we, the residents of Lake Emerald, do not support the illegal and irresponsible actions of a select few rogue individuals who operate without regard to those of which they serve! It is the responsibility of all Lake Emerald Owner Association resident owners to stand up and be heard! Allowing a minority to continuously attempt to silence those who are not in agreement with their policies or actions is unacceptable. Losing the ability to record the official board meetings in effect would reduce the ability to have certain individuals held accountable for their actions, as what has occurred most often with previously recorded board meetings. It is now up to the resident owners to voice their opposition to this offense!
