Reopen Juston Landry’s Case - Justice 4 Juston

After a 911 call from a gas station claiming him to have a gun, Juston Joseph Landry, 26, was chased by the police and shot at 10-12 times on January 11th, 2019. He was killed by Jonathan Landrum of the Lake Charles Police Department while running away from him. Landrum falsely reported that Landry pointed a gun at him. The gun in question was a BB gun that "looked like a Ruger 9mm." The officer was completely exonerated and is still on the force. Juston also had history with the mental health court but was dropped after not showing up with no repercussion. Landrum was obviously not trained or prepared to handle this circumstance and it ended fatally yet with NO consequence. There are several points of evidence that prove Landrum was in the wrong.
We want and need police reform now and for Landrum to face the consequences of his lethal and tragic mistake. Administrative leave is NOT enough. Officers need to be held accountable.
