My name is Michel Foucault and I attended the Lady Gaga show at the Air Canada Centre on Wednesday, September 6th 2017. I am a huge Lady Gaga fan and decided I would splurge a little and save up for the VIP backstage experience. I don’t make very much money and work a minimum wage job so this was a once in a lifetime experience for me. Although I did meet some awesome people and did enjoy the concert, I felt as if the whole backstage experience was very rushed and not personable. We only got 30 minutes for dinner which was not much time. When going to meet gaga our group of six could not decide which of us was going to stand next to her as we were all strangers and of course all wanted to stand next to her. We were given a ticket to know where our place to stand was. I was given the number #4 ticket. As we walked in to the room where Lady Gaga was it was a free for all. There was no direction by the staff besides “keep hands where we can see them” everyone was talking to her at the same time over lapping each other and then suddenly someone said “Okay be ready for the picture” and two pictures were taken. The #4 spot was right beside gaga as I found out after but a fan was standing there already when the photo was taken. I feel as if the staff should of placed us in the appropriate spots because the whole situation felt unfair and by the time the photo was taken it was too late for me to say anything, we were then escorted out of the room. I am a huge Lady Gaga fan but I have to be honest, the whole situation just felt very cold for me.
