Given the current rise of Covid- 19 in the world. Institutions have resulted in lack of assistance for students, more specifically Los Angles Southwest College. In comparison to other institutions with demographics that are not predominantly Black and Latino. This petition is to demand the same opportunities and assistance that is  provided to students with higher economic backgrounds. For example, lack of administrative assistance (response times and or lack of response). In ability to obtain one on one assistance via Professors and lack of assistance from departmental superiors. This has proposed a huge problem for Intercity students and has resulted in students being placed on the backburner and or told to simply just deal with it ! Covid-19 is constantly used as the excuse for why assistance is not available. Drive 15 miles west to Santa Monica College almost a year after Covid-19 first impacted society and protocols have been implemented to assist students. Response times are mandated to 24-48hours all personnel professors, department heads and upper superiors adhere to standards. Yet, Los Angeles Southwest College cant seem to get it together!
