I have two dogs with food allergies, one dog is allergic to poultry, whilst the second is allergic to beef.  Unless you pay through the nose for pet food that labels itself as "Single source protein", which can be as much as 8 times more expensive that the normal brands, all they state is "4% (the meat that the meal claims to be) followed by X% protein from animal sources."  First, you read that right, if it claims to be a Lamb dinner, legally all they have to have is 4% lamb, which although a disgrace, is not the main issue.  The X% protein from animal sources, tells you nothing, If I buy a lamb dinner and when my dogs eat it they start going into their allergic reactions it is dangerous for the dog.

These firms are supposed to care about our dogs health, but it's obvious that all they care about is money.  Please help me get pet food ingredients listed in the same way that human foods are and protect many vulnerable animals.
