Amanda Pflughoeft started this petition to Senator Kyrsten Sinema and

As a military brat I’m using my voice to speak for those who no longer can, or to stand next to those still voicing for justice yet to be reached.

We have heard story after story for years regarding sexual harassment and assault in the Military. After days of research I was surprised by how little action has been taken regarding this matter.

Delina Estella has been the inspiration behind pushing for a change. She has shared her story on social media. She is enlisted in the marine corps working on getting out. She experienced her assault while enlisted with no justice. Her perpetrator has been given NO repercussion after an admission of guilt.

This can be an uncomfortable conversation for most people. However imagine how someone feels who has experienced this sexual trauma.

How many more Vanessa Guillens are we going to read about in the news? How many more Dalina Estellas are we going to watch scream and cry over the injustice? Our warriors should feel comfortable speaking up and reporting the truth.

Let’s use our voices to make a difference, to bring justice.
The pentagon is “looking into” and “considering” making changes on how to handle these types of cases. It’s clear year after year that there is a lot of discussions. Let’s let them know that we are ready for a change, we’re ready for action!
How sexual assault is handled needs to be changed

Our warriors deserve better
