This, "A broad daylight robbery" is just a phrase to most people but not to the  residents of KwaDukuza.  I am tempted to say that KwaDukuza is the most unsafe and dangerous town to be especially during the day.  I was walking up Hullet street at about 12pm today(01/06/2022).  When I suddenly bumped into 2 woonga boys badly and mercilessly beating up an elderly Indian man who was crying and refusing to let go of the money they wanted from him.  They were armed with bush knives, the elderly woman who was in the company of the victim tried all in her ability to assist but she couldn't do much.

This disgusting incident happened next to Pie City just opposite the KwaDukuza department of Home Affairs and this not being the first on this same spot.  A while back an elderly Indian woman was crossing Chief Albert Luthuli street when a woonga boy brutally pulled out her earrings leaving the poor elderly woman bleeding and crying helplessly when everyone watched.  Not so long ago I witnessed another robbery when 4 woonga boys attacked an elderly coloured man in a similar way on this very same spot after 4pm.  KwaDukuza is really lacking police visibility, in all these incidents there was no sign of police vehicles or foot patrol.  I believe that  law enforcement agencies and the local police can do better than this.  

In fact getting rid of these boys from the streets of KwaDukuza would solve many issues of safety.  The elderly people and women are not safe at all in this town because of these boys.  With the ever growing numbers of woonga boys at KwaDukuza everyday, it won't be long until they start entering into businesses and demand cash, and it won't be long until they start killing people in broad daylight in this town.  It is an indisputable fact that all woonga boys are troublesome and dangerous and it does not need a rocket scientist to make them out.  I mean where else on earth would you find zombies sitting on the roadside smoking drugs in full view of everybody, walking around in town carrying knives and bush knives terrorizing tax payers except in KwaDukuza?

We cry safety in KwaDukuza.    We urge the police force and other law enforcement agencies to protect the citizens and businesses of KwaDukuza.  More police visibility on foot patrol, removal of woonga boys from the cdb.
