Return Porters Lane, St Ives to 2-way traffic.

Return Porters Lane, St Ives to 2-way traffic.
Ku ring gai Council recently eliminated 2-way traffic on Porters Lane and converted it to a one way, east bound from the car park entry.
This means that thousands of St Ives residents have been forced on to already overwhelmed streets and intersections such as the intersection of Stanley St & Mona Vale Rd.
THIS MAKES NO SENSE!
The solution is simple:
- Eliminate car parking on Porters Lane (approximately 25 cars)
- Reinstate 2-way traffic
Are the interests of 25 car owners really more important than the 1000’s of St Ives residents that use Porters Lane daily?
The Council elections are on 4 December 2021. Make sure the candidates are crystal clear about your view on this issue and YOU are crystal clear about what they will do about it.
This petition will be sent to Ku Ring Gai Council (kmc@kmc.nsw.gov.au) and each of the current St Ives Councillors, Cr’s Christine Kay & Martin Smith.
If any current councillor or candidate for the December election provides me with a link to a statement on how she or he will address this issue, it will be added to this petition. The statement must be in relation to Porters Lane only.
