I believe that rebuilding St Ives Skatepark will really help as at the moment St Ives Skatepark is not safe. The ground is uneven and rough meaning if an accident happens you do not slide, instead when you fall you get badly grazed. If we rebuild it the circumstances would not be the same, you would simply slide and be fine.

A new skatepark is a place for local children to get off their phones and ride around with friends. It would give more business to the local shops as lots more kids would go there, helping them financially. More parents would buy coffee and snacks while watching their children.

At the moment local kids have to take a long drive or bus ride to get to a decent skatepark like Mona Vale or Meadowbank. A new skatepark at St Ives would mean kids can easily ride or even walk. It would be a good excuse for parents to get teenagers and children outside getting fit and healthy. Please allow my request to happen as it would have a great positive impact on the local community.
