PUBG Mobile has been quite the popular game here in Southern Africa ever since the lockdowns. It’s fun to play and gives people the opportunity to communicate with their friends while enjoying the game. The only problem with the game for most of us is Southern Africa is the ping.

Some people may be lucky enough to play with a ping of 200ms or lower but most of us play with 200ms + leading to over 600ms. At this ping it’s quite difficult to do the simplest tasks within the game without running into issues. One may try to jump through the window but it would take close to 30 seconds for the server to respond. 

The game is great and all we ask for is a local server. It’s understood that placement of a server depends on whether there’s enough people playing in that region. There are more Southern African players than you would expect. Although we lag most of the time we still play the game and try to make the best of it. I’m not talking about South Africa as a country but Southern Africa as a whole. 

We love the game and it’s content. We would love to continue playing and would enjoy it much better if we were on the same ping as our opponents to avoid lagging issues. Sometimes one would shoot a whole round of bullets but because of lagging most of them do not reach your opponent. A local server is all we ask for… Thank you.
