Jun 2, 2015 — Good morning! We have 2,350+ supporters of the petition, and more than 80% are from Arlington. Support for this petition shows our community does not believe a gun shop is the right fit for the former Curves location in Cherrydale.
Opposition has formed to our petition, but I wonder if they can claim 80% are from our community? Please make sure you continue to share the petition to your network of Arlingtonians - let them have a voice too!
The owner of the proposed shop has stated publicly (eg, in TV interviews) that he has not really heard from the community. If you are interested, why don't you call and voice your view to him? (703) 448-4826
And please, this petition is about having a voice. Be courteous, voice what you want to see in the former Curves location, and let folks know a gun shop is not the right fit for our community.
