FibreOp lines have been run through much of  East Hants at this time, However, Rawdon District has been left out of the service area.

Aliant line crews have installed the fibre-optic cable along many roads through Rawdon District up to this date but we are not allowed access to it.

We have essential services in our district such as an elementary school and two fire departments that could sorely use the increase in internet service but are left out in the cold.

why should residential areas on either side of our district receive new services but our schools and essential services cannot?

In this Pandemic many of us are in our homes attempting to work remotely or conduct business but are restricted by the poor services that are available,  while the infrastructure to correct this is on our poles currently.

I Believe that if we express our concerns to our Leadership, they can advocate for us and get the services we need and deserve.

This petition is to show community support that we should be entitled to the same services that our neighboring districts have. And that local Government and vendors must understand that critical need for updated services especially in this pandemic situation
