For years and years kitesurfs have been taking there feet out of there straps in mid-air or slide and returning them in a beautiful fluid movement. This is known as a board off, infact this is a whole category of tricks. there are many staple tricks such as board off by the fin, tic tac, and board flip to name a few. These tricks are fairly difficult to do however this difficultly is in the swift movement of putting the feet in the straps. there is many difficultly associated with this such as bending your knees, getting both feet in before you hit the water all while steering the kite. So with all this in mind why would the trick be known as a board off. The saying goes anyone can take the board off however not many can put it on. This is why many in the community feel the name of the trick is a big injustice to the difficultly, therefore I am here writing this to ask us all to change the name to board on. I understand that this is a big change however I personally think the name flows perfectly and will be a big improvement to compettiom commentary as the masses will understand the difficultly. To further the adaptment of the name we shall start correcting people politely in the comments of instagram posts and person to person.
