There have been numerous accidents at the road junctions along Penistone Rd in Fenay Bridge in recent years and these accidents are becoming much more frequent.  Vehicles are speeding, and there has been a substantial increase in the volume of traffic on the road, causing traffic to queue at road junctions.

We therefore petition Kirklees Council to reduce the speed limit along Penistone Rd at Fenay Bridge from 40mph to 30mph and to undertake a comprehensive traffic and highways survey  to make the following road junctions safer and help ease traffic flow

Fenay Lane/Penistone Rd;

Station Rd/Penistone Rd;

Rowley Lane/Penistone Rd
