This is designed to have maximum impact so as to blame budget cuts, when really is a sign of the lack of joined up thinking and highlights the callibre of local authority management we suffer.

Yet again, another Council learns that fly tipping increases when restrictions or higher costs are imposed at official sites.

The council must make a lot of money with all the scrap metal etc that they 'recycle' (sell), the wood etc (that residents helpfully sort out themselves at the tip) then they cut the budget on this which will increase costs of cleaning up fly tipping. Makes no sense at all

We need to improve our recycling facilities instead of making it difficult for people to dispose of waste ethically and economically, what exactly do we pay council tax for?? You don't even take care of road repairs now. Just ridiculous.

I'm signing because I feel the current situation will result in fly tipping.

This new rule will encourage fly tipping anyone with a brain knows this .

I believe this to be a very short sighted policy. Householders have no other reasonable way to dispose of small amounts of DIY waste. This will simply encourage fly tipping and increase overall costs for the council.
Kirklees needs to totally rethink this

I sign this petition as both a resident and a Councillor.

I live in the area and have seen a large amount of fly-tipping: this recent change in policy is clearly going to encourage this illegal activity
