As a man, I know. I have Breast Cancer. In 2012 it was a lump that I had removed by a full radical mastectomy. It was Stage II. Just four years later it had metastasized. I now have Stage IV. It has spread through my lymph nodes to both of my lungs, and into my spine.
I wasn't surprised that it returned, just how fast it did. In January of 2016, I had an X-ray and my lungs were clear, however just 6 weeks later, another X-ray proved otherwise, and my lungs had so many nodes you couldn't count them. I know, because I tried.
my message is clear. First Breast Cancer isn't just for women. Although it is rare, men do get this disease, and it's not isolated to just older people. In fact, I know a young man who was just 17, active in sports with no family history.
