Teri Ellis started this petition to Kiowa County Commissioners

With plans of renovations being made by The State of Colorado, residents among the cemetery area would appreciate a more direct back route. The state plans on installing passing lanes starting at Holder's Hill. Pulling onto highway 287 as a two-lane can be frustrating enough, imagine with passing lanes. In addition to residents living around the area, the new road would be utilized by city workers, farmers reading equipment, funeral processions and our children.

As the new school year approaches, more students will be utilizing the school district's agriculture facilities. A back road would not only make it safer for children with a license to access the Ag Farm, but also create a route for younger children to gain access to the Ag Farm, without giving parents cause for worry.

This petition is to implore Kiowa County Commissioners to install the new road before it's too late. Today I am a concerned mother, let's not ignore this issue and wait until a mourning mother has to make herself heard.

*the attached photo is a proposed road discussed in the past, according to Administrative Assistant, Tina Adamson. I have estimated the location of the concrete plant, the illustration is only to help provide explanation of where the road is being proposed*
