Higher Contour Road Kingswear has seen abandoned vehicles and fly tipping on approximately 200 metres of unadopted roadside verge. 

This car width strip is not owned by anybody.

We are asking that our local Kingswear Parish Council own this land by adopting and registering it with the Land Registry. This will then allow any abandoned vehicle to be quickly removed. The last dumped van (as seen in photograph) took more than 3 years to remove!

Community ownership will also allow extra valuable managed parking spaces for local use.

A locally managed verge will allow interspersed wildflower planting. 

Management of this verge will greatly improve the visual entrance into our village.
