King County Democrats Chair Bailey Stober has been credibly accused of harassing and intimidating female staff members and creating a hostile work environment. The vice-chairs of the organization have requested that Mr. Stober resign, but he has refused, stating that he would like "due process."

This is due process.

Pursuant to KCDCC Bylaws Section 5.9, the undersigned Precinct Committee Officers and/or Executive Board members hereby request that a special meeting of the King County Democrats be called for the purpose of removing the Chair. This request will take effect if signed by 20% of the PCOs (273 PCOs) or 60% of the Executive Board (36 board members).

If the petition takes effect, the Chair will be presented with a written statement of the grounds for removal, and if he chooses may provide a written rebuttal. The special meeting must then be called with 14 days' notice, and must be attended by at least 20% of the PCOs. If two-thirds of those present and voting at the special meeting vote to remove the Chair, then the Chair will be removed from office.
