The washers and dryers on campus are difficult to use. They only take coins and it has been well-publicized that we are in a national coin shortage. In addition to that, there is nowhere on campus where we can get change and we'd have to go into town, seeing as we're in a pandemic that also conflicts with the safety of students. Also, many students without transportation won't be able to go to town and get change.It's ridiculous to have to scrounge up money to have clean clothes every week. Some of the appliances aren't even functional which further limits access to simple necessities. I believe that they should be removed at least for the remainder of the national coin shortage if the payment function cannot be disabled for the time being.
