Krishnakumar Menon started this petition to Killer Roads of Greater Kochi

While Greater Kochi touted as the Business and Commercial capital of Kerala having a unique record of proudly owning Two Airports, a Major Shipyard, head of Southern Navel Command, High Court of Kerala, Kochin harbor, container terminal, Oil and Gas refineries,  site for proposed marina projects etc, State Government,  district administration and surrounding local bodies have neglected the welfare of the city roads, which is a major killer  of it's riders and pedestrians. Alas, God's own Country's proud city became a major recruiting harbor for devil's own country. Legend says the state was recovered from sea by sage Parasurama. And another story is related to King Mahabali, who was condemned to solitude by Vamana and send to Pathal (world beneath earth) through a pothole. That could be the reason Kerala roads resemble Arabian sea during rainy season and always filled with potholes. Recently Palarivattom bridge constructed in 2016 had to be declared unfit for transport and was closed for major repairs. Crores had been wasted. This is going to be the story of many such bridge be it Vytilla bridge or Kundannoor bridge. Vallarpadom bridge also is developing cracks. What a pity. Durability of roads and bridges have been reduced to piles and people have been taken for granted. Constructing and reconstructing is not the solution. Who is responsible for the death, serious injuries, time-loss and trauma connected to all these.

Don't take us for a ride. Let us ride through city roads safely. Make the City Corporation, PWD department, Municipalities and State government (individuals - Minister, Mayor, Chairman and PWD officials) responsible for this fiasco.
