This petition is to show support and to prove that there is a genuine local need for a public skatepark in Celbridge. 

Celbridge is the 3rd most populated town in Kildare and continues to grant numerous planning permissions for hundreds of residential units. No thought for infrastructure needs or public amenities has been made by the Kildare County Council throughout the town's expansion. This lack of infrastructure is in sharp contrast to the Kildare towns of Newbridge and Naas that both enjoy newly built skateparks.

Skateparks are proven to increase health, well-being, community cohesion whilst reducing social exclusion and anti-social behaviour. The skatepark will not only benefit skatepark users, it will enhance the town and will be an asset to the whole community.

There is a strong skateboarding, scooting and BMXing community already in Celbridge and this community will inevitably grow. Sign this petition to give our town the sensible and well deserved development it needs.
