We're out to make a difference!
Kilahs Law will raise the sentencing guidelines for anyone who causes the permanent debilitating physical injury to a child. Currently Felony Child Abuse Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury to a child falls under a class C felony with the sentencing guidelines of 44-92 months in prison. Kilahs law will raise the sentencing guidelines to a class B felony giving the judicial system the tools they need in order to impose a much harsher punishment. We believe that anyone capable of doing the magnitude of harm to a child such as Kilah Davenport should be sentenced in the same manor as a child pedophile with a potential sentence of 25-life in prison.
A little about Kilah's story;
My name is Kilah Anne Davenport. I am a bubbly, creative, full of life, intellgent little 3 year old girl with golden curls and a smile that will knock you off your feet and my big brown eyes will make you fall in love with me in an instant. I was violently injured on Wednesday May 16, 2012 in which I had a tramatic brain injury and a skull fracture.
Kilah has improved A LOT and has proved just about every doctor wrong. She has overcome more obsticles than any three-year-old child should and for that we WILL pass Kilah's Law.
WE DON'T WANT ANY OTHER CHILD TO HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE PHYSCIAL OR EMOTIONAL PAIN...ANY ADULT WILLING TO DO SO NEEDS TO BE PUNISHED!!
