KIJIJI (www.kijiji.ca): CHANGE USER PERMISSIONS / MARK DAY OF COMMEMORATION FOR TIM BOSMA
For the last 8 days we have joined together as a Canadian community, looking for Tim Bosma, Husband and father to a beautiful little girl. He's been found deceased at the hands of someone who has no care for life & family. Tim decided to Advertise the sale of his vehicle (Dodge 3500 Diesel) on kjiji.ca which lead to the horrible events. He posted his cellphone number for potential buyers to contact him directly. Which is currently an issue, because we can contact eachother, with out the tracing of an IP address (done mainly when emails are sent). I urge KIJIJI to please change this policy and require potential PATRONS to REGISTER (as a current FREE SERVICE) prior to entitling them to private information given by the poster of each advertisment, as well as omiting the option to provide their phone numbers (completely).... This incident has left a young girl without a father, and again, we are extremely saddened as a community!
We also Urge Kijiji to Recognize the incident and commemorate May 6th (between 9:30pm-10:30pm) and May 14th (between 10am-11am) Annually; as days of Online Retail Safety Awareness... by shutting down your servers as a sign of RESPECT to the Bosma Family.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SIGNING AND SUPPORTING THIS PETITION!
