We as a community see people speeding down our streets everyday with reckless abandon. We have had countless close calls with us and our children, as well as many pets hit and killed as drivers race down our residential street at speeds up to 60mph. 

We’re afraid to walk our animals or allow our children play in the area because of the constant threat of careless and irresponsible drivers careening down our streets. 

Instead of burdening our thinly stretched police officers here in Shively, it would be more cost effective and prudent to place speed bumps throughout the community. 

We here at the Kiefer/Dohn Road circle are requesting speed bumps as soon as possible. As a neighborhood, we don’t want to see the tragic, inevitable but avoidable happen on our street. Thank you for your consideration.
