School Starting Later
School Starting Later

It’s not healthy for kids to be waking up so early for school. There is a widespread chronic health problem: sleep deprivation. To do well in school you need to get a good night of sleep. Students (tweens and teens) need on average 9 1/4 hours of sleep to be able to do well in school, have good health and brain development. Without these hours of sleep students can’t learn as much because they lack the ability to be alert, paying attention, solve problems, cope with stress, and retain information. They also can have behavior and emotional problems like depression and violence all due to lack of sleep. So with school times starting later that would give students more sleep and students would overall perform much better in school. So please help all the young learners and their future by signing this petition.
