Russia invaded Ukraine on 24 February 2022 even though, up until that time, they denied any intentions of conducting war operations in Ukraine.  The invasion has triggered Europe's largest refugee crisis since the second world war with more than 4.3 million Ukrainians leaving their country and a quarter of their entire population being displaced.

The Russian military, under the direction of Vladimir Putin, has committed atrocities that amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.  Russian government agencies, including the Russian Embassy in Canada, have embarked on a campaign of misinformation denying the murder of innocent civilians and the wanton destruction of entire population centres in Ukraine. 

Russia must be shown that Canada is unequivocally opposed to Russia's illegal and murderous war against Ukraine.  Please join me in calling for the immediate removal of all Russian Federation personnel from Canada ... including all those employed at the Embassy of the Russian Federation at 285 Charlotte (Free Ukraine) Street, Ottawa, its Consular Section at 52 Range Road, Ottawa, its Office of the Military Attache, 14 Range Road, Ottawa, and its Trade Section, 95 Wurtemburg Street, Ottawa.

The results of this petition will be shared with the Government of Canada for appropriate action against Russia.
