As this is impacting us as consumers and owners of these vehicles, we are forced to deal with the cost of insurance premiums rising. Additionally, IF your car is totaled, a global supply chain issue has decreased car inventory, increasing the price of what is left on the lot—financially impacting emotional and mental stress.

"Kia America is aware of the rise in vehicle thefts of certain trim level vehicles. Therefore, as of the current 2022 Model Year, all Kia vehicles have an engine immobilizer fitted as standard," Kia wrote.
"Hyundai Motor America is concerned with the rise in local auto thefts. The safety and well-being of our customers and the community is and will remain our top priority," Hyundai stated.
As customers and consumers of these auto retailers, we demand that a recall is implemented on all vehicles and years impacted by this design flaw. Alternatively, Kia and Hyundai should cover the cost for all aftermarket alarm systems or anti-theft devices.
