A petition to KHS

On Tuesday during a study hall period, a student and a teacher were playing hang man on the computer and had filled in the following letters N _ GGER. The Caucasian teacher laughed and invited two girls of African American descent to look at the screen that depicted a partially drawn hanging man and N _ GGER beneath. One of the girls documented an 8 second video of the scene and posted it to a social media stating that she did not find it funny in the caption. The following day the same girl was suspended for two day for recording the video without consent.

The names below agree that the girl who recorded was punished too harshly and the teacher and the administration should both publicly denounce what happened. We ask for her suspension to be lifted and expunged from her permanent record, a public apology from the teacher, and for the school to publicly state they do not condone racism.
