Malaysia Airlines Engineering was acknowledged as one of the best Aircraft Maintenance Organization (Maintenance Repair Overhaul - MRO) in the world until early 2000s. It had several hangars in Subang Airport.

The MRO in Subang was closed in 2015 but hangars and buildings are still there. 

Khazanah had recently signed a MOU with Singapore Airlines Engineering (SIAEC) to reopen the hangars in Subang for SIAEC MRO business expansion into Malaysia.

This petition is to get the Malaysian Government to stop such agreements and to award the use of those facilities to deserving Malaysian company/s for the development of the local MRO industry.
