I litter pick a beautiful part of the Isle of Wight AONB.  On every occasion KFC packaging is found.  The packaging has either none or no strong message to educate its consumers to not throw KFC branded waste into the country/roadside.  KFC have committed 'clucking down on litter', but I feel this is not enough.  I am asking KFC to make another commitment and that is to strongly get the message across (similar to the health messages on cigarette packets) to help prevent littering.  They spend thousands on TV adverts extoling how wonderful their products are; will they commit to spending a part of their media budget in a TV advert, a strong anti littering message?  KFC could lead the way if they are prepared to give it some thought.  Our environment is precious and education is the key, but the global problem of littering is not being addressed enough by the very companies who create the problem in the first place.
