The people of Cuba have spoken loud and clear since they took to the streets on July the 11th, 2021. They don’t want reforms, they don’t want charity, their cry is for freedom, their voices raised as one to demand the end of the tyrannical regime that has oppressed them for more than six decades. The regime’s answer was a brutal repression, unjustified incarcerations, bypass of due process, summary trials, sexual harassment to even minors, torture, murder. There are no democratic means to put an end to that tyranny as they violate every human right of the cuban people at will and with total impunity. The US, as leaders of the free world and pioneers of democracy, needs to put an end to all diplomatic relations with Havana, close the US embassy in Havana, and close the cuban embassy in Washington as a first step to actually show their support to the cuban people that can take no more from the murderer tyrant. It’s the right thing to do, it’s what honor demands, nothing less.
