The residents of Ketchikan Alaska were not given a fair chance to opt out of senate bill 63 which makes illegal smoking of tobacco in any indoor space.

This is a clear government over reach to a proprietors right to choose how they run their business. Many have already made the conscious decision to do so giving everyone the right to choose the establishment they frequent.

As reported in Juneau and Anchorage the down side has caused altercations by passers by and an increase in litter. Removing people to put them on the street in large numbers where the business is no longer responsible for the actions of patrons in a controlled environment.

The call on this petition is to add an election ballot on November 6 or if needed a special election at a date to be determined by the city clerk at the city of Ketchikan.
