We the students of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University are requesting to conduct our exams online which are now scheduled to be started on July 9th amidst these pandemic situations. Almost all the student organizations had demanded to conduct online examinations as early as possible at the meeting convened by Hon. Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Bindu, but the university moved forward with the announcement of exams in offline mode.
It's also important to note that top technological universities in India are having their exams online for the past few months. But why not in Kerala ??? Final semester/trimester examinations of different courses under KTU are also conducted via online. So WHY NOT other intermediate semester/trimester examinations??

Following are some of the genuine issues raised by the students:

• Not yet vaccinated
  Many of the students are not even vaccinated and are in panic due to the inadequate safety measures in the examination centers.
•  Transport and Hostel facilities
  Students are not able to reach examination centers due to limited public transportation facilities. Also no college hostel is available for every students
• Covid 19 positive cases
  Latest news reported that students who wrote exams conducted by another prominent university in Kerala have tested covid 19 positive and more cases are yet to be reported
• Interstate and Abroad students
  Inter-state as well as  students who are now staying abroad due to online classes find it difficult to reach their examination center before scheduled examination dates
• Issue of PG admissions, Placements
  Universities outside Kerala have already begin their PG admission by completing all the exams in online mode, so it's impossible for students in Kerala to take PG admissions outside the state.
  Students those who have supplementary exams(2015 batch) due to various reasons are not able to step to the next stage of their career. As a solution, these supplementary exams also should be conducted as online at the earliest

Under these circumstances the only solution is to conduct all the exams in online mode immediately. We are requesting to take prompt action to do the same as soon as possible.
